About Melinda’s Minnows
Melinda has more than 25 years of experience and passion for teaching swimming. She originally launched Melinda’s Minnows in 1997 as a summer job during high school and college. Teaching from her parents’ pool, Melinda loved spending all day outside working with people, making her own hours (as many as possible!), and best of all, gaining a true appreciation for the vast differences in how people learn new skills.
Over the years, Melinda has worked at different pool facilities and has continued to teach kids and adults of all levels. She is so excited for the next phase of Melinda’s Minnows!
About Melinda
Melinda currently lives in Downingtown, Pennsylvania with her husband Greg, and their two children, Juliana and Alexis (ages 8 and 5.5). Being a mom certainly keeps Melinda on her toes, and she loves watching her daughters learn and grow. Being around young minds has continued to strengthen Melinda’s appreciation for education.
Melinda loves going on vacations with her family a few times a year to the beach, mountains, camping, and more. She tries to take time to recharge by going for a run on a trail, hiking with a friend, or playing soccer when possible. She also loves to cook (and eat) and is always up for trying a new recipe or restaurant.
